The United States Pony Clubs, Inc. was founded in 1954 by a group of foxhunters. A happy child on a happy pony (or horse) is the goal of Pony Club, and the hunt field is a great place to find many of these pairs!

Foxhunting is a mounted sport that dates back hundreds of years and has been associated with The United States Pony Clubs since its founding in 1954. Riders navigate through open terrain, across creeks and streams, over logs and other natural obstacles, and even through woods and thickets. Foxhunting can be enjoyedby all ages and levels of riding. Foxhunting is governed by The Masters of Foxhounds Association (MFHA). Pony Club continues to work closely with the MFHA and has representation on the MFHA Board.

Foxhunting is a Resource Discipline in Pony Club.

There are many opportunities for members to enjoy Hunting as a Pony Club member. Many Hunts across the country offer reduced rates to members and special Pony Club hunt days. Pony Club also offers programs for members, including the Live Oak Hounds Foxhunting Challenge, the International Foxhunting Exchange, the Foxhunting Recognition Program, and the Mock Hunt held at every USPC Festival.
