Pony Club offers several college scholarships to members interested in continuing their education beyond high school. College scholarships are awarded annually based on merit and other criteria to any member meeting the qualifications. Donations to these funds allow Pony Club the opportunity to support its members in advancing their academic goals. Pony Club is proud of its members and the opportunities it is able to provide to continue their education, whether it is in the barn, on the back of a horse, or in an institute of higher learning.

The Dorothy Renfro Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 1998 by the family of Dorothy Renfro, a devoted Pony Club volunteer who gave her time and energy tirelessly to help young people to grow and develop through their love of horses. She was widely known as a dedicated advocate for children, having served as Regional Supervisor of Old Dominion Region, Chairman of the USPC Summer Instruction Committee, a member of the USPC Board of Governors, and, at the time of her death, a member of the USPC Advisory Committee.
This scholarship rewards Pony Club members who excel in the qualities that Dorothy valued most: leadership, horse management, and volunteering time to beneficial activities and to encourage horsemen and women in their academic pursuits. One $1,000 scholarship is awarded annually.
The Stanley R. and Martha C. Helbert Memorial Scholarship was established in 2003 by members of the Helbert and Lindamood families. The Helberts’ grandchildren are Pony Club alumni and are still active volunteers, and the Helberts' daughter, Nancy Lindamood, has been very involved with Pony Club at the local, regional, and national level for many years.
This scholarship encourages Pony Club members to pursue academic excellence in the liberal, visual, fine, decorative, applied, or performing arts areas: painting, sculpting, ceramics, filmmaking, design/architecture, graphic, industrial or interior design, decorative arts, theater, music, or literature. One $1,000 scholarship is awarded annually.
The Bodgie Read Memorial College Scholarship fund for Dressage and Eventing Riders was established in 2021 by the family of Marjory “Bodgie” Read. Bodgie was the longest continuous Regional Supervisor in USPC history, spanning a period of 41 years, and she was a devoted Pony Club leader and volunteer who encouraged all young people to experience the joy and responsibility of horsemanship and competition. Bodgie tirelessly advocated for each child to have the best experience possible in Pony Club, whether a D-2 or an A. Bodgie’s father, Col. Howard C. Fair, was a co-founder of The United States Pony Clubs, Inc., and Bodgie’s children and grandchildren were all active Pony Club members; the family has spanned four generations of continuous involvement in the organization since its inception.
This scholarship rewards Pony Club members who are active in the organization in Dressage or Eventing in order for them to pursue their goals for higher education. One $1,000 scholarship is awarded annually.
